UPDATE : Distance Learning / K12 Rural Electronic Education .. & beyond
[>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>|<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<]
Friends and Colleagues:
If interested, please send us E-Mail with "UPDATE" in the SUBJECT field to
receive a report on the progress of the inauguration of the Ghana Distance
Learning/Electronic Education Program.
This UPDATE is one full E-Mail message in length.
Some rudimentary issues of connectivity have been addressed; other
conundrums, however, still loom.
We are seeking to "build bridges" with individuals, organizations, and
institutions with an interest in Internetworking for Distance Learning and
Electronic Education, and in fostering important educational exchange with
Africa.
A team of international volunteers has come to join Ghanaian counterparts in
the first leg of this program -- under the auspices of the Voluntary
Workcamps Association of Ghana (VOLU) and Operation Crossroads Africa, NYC.
"...We are talking about an experiment in creating a new kind of educational
institution that will be able to offer high quality instruction...all
without building buildings and highways and parking lots..." (Dr. S. Eskow)
We would WELCOME your getting involved in this effort!
