Are there any Internet/WWW resources available to offer help in
diagnosis of
a strange/mysterious illness? I have a good friend who is hospitalized
with
an as yet undiagnosed viral infection that may/may not be travel
related; her
symptoms are very peculiar and her condition is deteriorating.
Is there a newsgroup or other resource which would allow an
input/description of
specific symptoms and then provide a list of possible causes? We are
hoping that
a global broadcast of these strange symptoms will reach a medical
professional who
may be familiar with this particular affliction.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
