Could this be a rumor inspired by the lamentable April Fool's
joke published as a "News and Views" in Nature (see Dorian Gray Mice,
vol. 362, 411)? In this regretable piece, carp factors are described
that will extend the lifetime of a mouse. Sorry, if this is what you
are after.
