I see how this could be very controversial. It has a feeling a lot
like the on-going abortion issue. Basically, what right do humans have
to mess around with another potential human's very chance of existence.
I see here a relationship between Adam and Eve's sin of wanting to be
like God and know good and evil and now humans trying to be like God and
"create" humans to their liking.
I don't approve of humans playing God and making humans to their
specifications and needs. It's just scary thinking about mass producing
humans. I think it might devalue human life. And right now already in
society a human life is not so sacred anymore.
Another aspect of this would be the children who are born through
this cloning and the psychological effect it would have on them.
Instead of being born as a result of a love act from his parents, the
kid would be born as a result of some scientists going to the grocery
store getting all the right ingredients and sort of assembling him. How
would that make you feel?
The Bible says that in the last days it will be like the days of
Noah before the flood. I remember hearing that those people before the
flood may have been genetically experimenting also. I see this human
cloning issue as a ethical one (an unethical one at that) but also in
the bigger scheme of things I see it as another indicator that the end
is near.
