I am working on a project involving immunocontraception in seals and plan
on doing a sperm-oocyte binding assay. We are getting grey seal semen
samples/specimens from Sable Island in the near future. I would like to
contact other people in this research area to find out more about buffers
and protocols. The sperm is valuable stuff ( hard to access , and
expensive) and so I can't have them dying on me.
I will be incubating grey seal oocytes with bound anti-zona pellucida
antibodies with the grey seal sperm. The more recent information I can
acquire will help in not screwing up and killing my sperm (and the
subsequent killing of yours truly by my supervisor). I am aware that
there is research being done in this area, but I am having trouble finding
any info in the current literature.
Thanks kindly,
Cyril Boudreau
