I would hope that scientists have more reason for doing these
experiments than just to satisfy their curiosity. If it is just to
satisfy curiosity I don't think those types of experiments would be as
acceptable. I guess a question I have for you is what kinds of benefits
make it desirable to continue with human embryo cloning experiments? Is
just improving the chances that a couple with fertility problems has to
conceive sufficient reason, or do we need more compelling reasons? Is
the testing of embryos for genetic defects okay, assuming that one of
the "twins" will die as a result of the test?
