This cloning dilema is something I have never really thought would
actually interest me. Being able to clone embryos and to do research on
them does not seem right but yet it is something that researchers need
to do in order for their minds to keep working. Many people might say
that if God wanted us to look exactly like someone else or like everyone
else he would have cloned us himself. Maybe he left that up to the
scientists of today to do.
I personally think that research should be able to test embyos for
cloning. But only under the conditions that they use embryos that are
unwanted or defected in some way. The more embyos implanted would seem
to have a better chance at getting one of them to succeed, but as one
scientist has already said,"one is just as good as two or three."
Testing this cloning experiment on animals would seem safer to do at
first even though it is not a decision we make. And it also may be hard
to distinguish between animals because most of them look the same
anyways. But if cloning works on animals then I don't see why it would
not work on humans. I am not saying that humans and animals are the
same but we do both have some of the same layouts inside our bodies that
they have in theirs.
Cloning does seem to be an interesting topic and I hope that everything
goes right with all the future experiments in this section.
