When I was a grad student a plant physiology professor's wife was
going to have twins. They had already decided to name one Lucy
after some relative or other. We grad students strongly suggested
that the other be named Isolucy (they were, it turned out,
monozygotic twins). We pointed out that they could monogram things
leu and ile. Alas, they went ahead and named her something prosaic
like Nancy!
