Dear Bionetters,
As one of the current members of Cytonet I'd like to voice my support
for the creation of this group. Even though the core group consists of
plant biologists I would like to encourage participation by animal biologists
as well. We can all benefit from the exchange of ideas concerning cytoskeleton
and extracellular matrix research conducted in either kingdom. I know that I
have personally benefitted from my contacts with mammalian cytoskeleton
researchers and their input and opinions even though the plant cortical
cytoskeleton and mammalian neuronal cytoskeleton are far removed from one
another.
Creation of the Cytonet newsgroup would prove beneficial to a large
number of researchers and I encourage voting in favor of its creation.
