Using archie to find non-free software

I tried to find "Ribbon by Priestle" using archie and came up with nothing.

However, what should be done is this: the "official" distribution site for
the various famous programs should construct an anonymous FTP server which
contains blurbs about how to obtain each such program, in a file named for
the program. Then, when someone wants to find the program, they use
archie, and end up getting the instructions for how to obtain it.

Secondly, these sites should contribute to the archie "whatis" database.
Enter help whatis to an archie server for more information.

(You don't know about archie? Telnet to nis.ans.net, login archie,
for more information.)
