A couple of years ago I remember seeing a paper that substituted simple
geometrical symbols for the bases in a multiple alignment program (Actually,
I think it might have been in Word Perfect) . For example,
A was a square, C a circle etc. It made the alignment much
easier to look at as a whole. Does anyone remember that paper or
a similar one? I seem to have lost my copy and I need the reference.
