There have been problems with the T1 link from the US to Cern.
Starting friday/saturday and ending monday/tuesday).
This affected quite a few sites in US and Europe, and caused
a considerable traffic jam with respect to eMails which is still being
processed.
The link is up and running fine now. Bioftp and all other sites in
Europe are reachable again from the US. The same is true for the opposite
direction.
