I would like to obtain some information about the current status of
projects developing special-purpose hardware for fast processing
of biological sequences, --- chips, dedicated workstations etc.
I received some inconclusive information earlier about a project
at Applied Biosystems Inc. and a project by L. Hood. If anyone
has news about these projects, or other ongoing activities in this
area I would be grateful to hear about it.
