I'd like to throw in a question for discussion.
We have a number of "Third Party" (socialistic?) hearing aid dispensing
programs in the United States. Is there one or more of them that pays the
dispenser enough to earn a "reasonable" living if that is all you did? I
believe most of us have to have "private pay" patients to offset what we
don't earn from third party pay plans.
I do know that in some countries in Europe it is possible for the dispenser
to earn a living doing only "third party" dispensing. But, is this possible
in the US?
While anybody in the United Kingdom can obtain a hearing aid through the
Government Health Service, the private sector hearing aid industry is doing
very well. Many persons would rather obtain their hearing aids through the
private sector than go through the government program.
