Have an interesting historic book which offers a course that teaches
hard of hearing people to interpret the sounds they hear in order
to make the most of their hearing without the use of a hearing aid.
(hearing re-education). It works on what appears to be a sensible
basis of systematically educating listeners to associate the noises
they hear with what the sounds mean.
The book is called "The New Way to Better Hearing" and it's by Victor
Browd, M.D, Fellow of the American Academy of Opthalmology and
Otolaryngology. It was published in 1953 and has 250 pages, hardback.
It is in good condition.
