*Project Scientist position in plant genomics*

DOE Joint Genome Institute in Walnut Creek, CA

A Project Scientist position is available in the Plant Functional Genomics
group at the DOE Joint Genome Institute in Walnut Creek, CA. This position
will be part of a team using comparative and functional genomics to
discover how polyploid genomes function and evolve; how pan-genomes evolve
and how they can be used to accelerate plant breeding; and the role of
epigenetics in mediating genome regulation and evolution. There will also
be opportunities to explore and develop new areas of interest and work with
a large number of diverse collaborators. The successful candidate will hold
a Ph.D. and have a strong background in genomics, bioinformatics,
