[Arabidopsis] Post-Doc position in Portugal

Post-Doc position at IGC

A postdoctoral position is available from September 1st 2015 on in the 
Plant Genomics lab at Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciencia in Oeiras, 
Portugal (www.igc.gulbenkian.pt). The IGC is a private research 
institute located 20 km west of Lisbon, providing an excellent 
scientific environment and the opportunity to live and work in one of 
the most beautiful regions of Portugal.

The successful candidate will study the impact and underlying pathways 
of changes in DNA methylation patterns during sexual reproduction in 
Physcomitrella patens. These studies make part of the ERA-CAPS project 
“Evolution of Sexual Reproduction in Plants” 
and thus will include intensive collaborations with the partner 

Applicants should have a PhD degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or 
equivalent. Preferential consideration will be given to candidates with 
previous experience in Physcomitrella patens and/or epigenetics, while 
being highly motivated and able to work with a certain degree of 
independence is essential. The initial appointment will be for six 
months, prolongable for a further 30 months subject to evaluation.
