A postdoc position in plant molecular biology is immediately available
at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. The selected candidate will join a
team of scientists working to understand the molecular basis of
plant-microbe interactions. The candidate will work with the
Populus-Laccaria system and will focus on functional characterization
of candidate genes identified from high-throughput genomics and
proteomics data analysis, elucidation of protein-protein interactions,
and examination of long-distance protein movement in plants.
Applicants are expected to have a Ph.D. degree in molecular biology,
biochemistry, genetics, or a related field. Publication record
demonstrating expertise in protein engineering, protein intercellular
movement, protein functional characterization, and signal transduction
is required. Applicant should be comfortable working in a
multi-disciplinary environment. Please go to
https://www2.orau.gov/ORNL_POST/ to apply for this position. All
applicants will need to register before they can begin the online
application. Please see the complete instructions at
applying for this position, reference the position title (Postdoctoral
Researcher in Plant Molecular Biology) and number (ORNL10-01-BSD).
The program is open to all qualified U.S. and non-U.S. citizens. For
