2. Italy: PhD Fellowships
The International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology
offers long and short-term PhD fellowships to nationals from its Member
States at its two Components located in Trieste, Italy, and New Delhi,
India, through the following actions:
* International PhD Programme:
Postgraduate studies (3 years) are available with the aim of
obtaining the Doctor Philosophiae (PhD) degree in molecular
genetics and life sciences. The degree can be awarded by a
number of validating entities of national and international
level such as: Open University (UK); Scuola Normale Superiore,
Pisa (Italy); Nova Gorica University (Slovenia) or Jawaharlal
Nehru University, New Delhi (India).
* Flexible Fellowships:
Sandwich PhD fellowships (6-12 months) are open to PhD
registered students wishing to carry out part of their
experimental studies at the ICGEB Laboratories in the framework
of an agreed collaboration.
