The Biotechnology Program at Florida Gulf Coast=20
University invites applications for 1-2=20
postdoctoral positions in the area of initiation=20
and control of Red Tide Blooms.  We are looking=20
for applicants with skills in plant/algal=20
molecular biology and biochemistry. We are=20
seeking self-starters with broad research=20
interests to join a growing cross-disciplinary=20
biotechnology program with active collaborations=20
with other institutions and the private sector.=20
The postdoctoral experiences will also provide=20
opportunities for mentoring of undergraduate=20
research and participation in team-taught=20
undergraduate courses in biotechnology. The=20
Biotechnology Program has 24 faculty with broad=20
interests (see Biotechnology web site:=20
http://www.fgcu.edu/cas/biotech). A new Core=20
Research Facility with state-of-the-art molecular=20
biology, analytical chemistry and computational=20
chemistry facilities has been established for the=20
Program. Applicants must have received their=20
Ph.D. from an accredited institution in the=20
position discipline or related discipline and=20
have evidence of successful research activities=20
(refereed publications). Initial appointments=20
will be for one year with the opportunity for=20
renewal upon satisfactory performance. All=20
