* Two year appointment
* Salary Range: Level A  AUS$40,003 - AUS$54,286 p.a.
(Minimum starting salary for appointee with PhD will be AUS$50,572 p.a.)

The Plant Molecular Biology Group at The University of Western Australia,
incorporates a number of laboratories undertaking research relating to plant
metabolism and organelle function in model plants using a range of
functional genomic techniques. Applications are invited from a suitably
qualified Postdoctoral Researcher to work on an Australian Research Council
funded project on plant organelle proteomics.

This project aims to exploit genome sequence data to provide a broad
molecular understanding of mitochondrial, plastidic and nuclear protein
composition during development and changes invoked by adaptation to
environmental stress in plants. It will use a combination of cellular
fractionation, enzymology, protein biochemistry, proteomic analysis and
molecular biology techniques. A PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology, or
related discipline is essential. This position is available immediately. For
