A POSTDOCTORAL POSITION is available immediately to study the role of
ART1 in determination of flowering time in Arabidopsis (Grbic and
Bleecker, Development 122: 2395-2403, 1996). ART1 is a new flowering
gene that acts to activate FLC floral repressor. ART1 has been localized
on 16kb genomic fragment. Its complementation analysis is underway.
Postdoctoral project will be the molecular analyses of the ART1 gene
products and elucidation of its role in determination of flowering time.
For further information, please email Dr. Vojislava Grbic at
vgrbic at uwo.ca.
The position is for three years.
To apply, please send a CV, a brief statement of research experience and
research interests, and the names of three references (including
address, phone, and email) to Dr. Vojislava Grbic by mail or email.
Successful postdoctoral candidates should be highly motivated
individuals with experiences in plant molecular genetics.
