>Post-Doctoral position

A post-Doc position will be available (december 2002) in the Laboratory of
Plant Biochemsitry and Molecular Physiology at Agro-M/INRA in Montpellier

The research topic will focus on the molecular responses of root nitrate
uptake to N limitation in Arabidopsis thaliana. The work will combine the
use of mutants and transformants, of cDNA macro-arrays, and of refined
functional assays of nitrate transport (15N labellings). The goals are to
identify genes and regulations involved in the adaptive responses of
nitrate uptake to N stress, and to integrate these responses with those at
the root architecture level.

This project is part of a Research Training Network funded by the E.U.
(www.inra.fr/internet/projects/plusn), which will provide the opportunity
to the successful applicant to interact with leading European groups in the
field of nitrogen transport and metabolism in plants.

- Ph.D in plant molecular biology/physiology, with possibly a strong
experience in gene expression studies.
- European (E.U.), non french, applicants.

22 months

The applicants must send a C.V., list of publications, description of
previous experience, and the name of two referees to: Alain Gojon
(gojon at ensam.inra.fr).
