A creative and industrious individual is sought to examine the role of an
auxin receptor, ABP1, in auxin-regulated cell expansion. Recent evidence
indicates that ABP1 mediates auxin action involved in cell expansion by
regulating associated cellular events at the plasma membrane and in the
cell wall. We are using a variety of reverse genetic approaches to
determine the molecular mechanism of this action. A PhD is required as
well as experience in molecular genetics and physiology. This three-year
position begins immediately.
