Postdoctoral Research Associate
University of Arizona, Tucson
A postdoctoral position is immediately available to study paramutation in
maize. Paramutation is a directed, heritable alteration in the
transcription of one allele promoted by the presence of another allele.
This project is to identify cis-acting sites and trans-acting loci
required for paramutation. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in genetics,
molecular biology, or a related field. The starting salary is in a range
from $22,000 to $26,000, depending on experience. Review of applications
begins on June 16, 1997 and continues until position is filled. All
