In response to the dramatic increase in research on plant reproductive
systems the UK
funding agency BBSRC has established an informal programme of co-ordination
around BBSRC-FlowerBase - World-Wide Web site.
=46lowerBase is located at: http://sun2.botany.le.ac.uk/plants/index.html
The initiative, which is intended to be as responsive to the user community =
possible, promotes exchange of information through the Web Site and
specific areas through Interest Groups
=46lowerBase holds FOUR DIRECTORIES:
People, including project summaries and recent relevant publications
and links to INTEREST GROUPS - currently: Floral Initiation, Floral Organ
Self-Incompatibility and Biotechnology.
To contribute and use FIowerBase please register by completing and
electronic registration form located within the web site.
People outside the UK are also very welcome to contribute.
Your details will be entered into the database and, of course, you are free
=46lowerbase at any time.=7F Importantly, by submitting the form you will be
the information it contains can be held in a computer database linked to
the World Wide
