This postdoctoral position, funded by The Leverhulme Trust, will be
available from October 1996 for a fixed period of three years. The project
concerns the actions and interactions of plant MADS-box transcription
factors and their influence on plant development. The project will involve
defining the network of protein-protein interactions amongst Antirrhinum
MADS-box factors and investigating the effects of disruption of parts of
the network by gene knockout experiments.
Applicants should have a strong background in molecular biology and
genetics and an interest in development. Experience in yeast genetics
and/or techniques for the analysis of protein/DNA interactions would be
