Harvey Mudd College announces a tenure-track position at the
rank of ASSISTANT / ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR to begin in September 1995 or
January 1996. Ph.D. required, postdoctoral experience preferred. We
seek a plant biologist with expertise in physiology, cell biology,
genetics, or development to join a new, active biology program with
excellent laboratory and research facilities. Breadth of knowledge for
excellent undergraduate teaching in a small department is required, as
is a research program appropriate for participation by undergraduates.
Teaching responsibilities include plant biology portions of introductory
biology and general physiology for majors, and advanced specialty
courses. Harvey Mudd College, a member of the Claremont Colleges, is a
small private college of science and engineering with a select
undergraduate student body.
