The Department of Botany invites applications for a 9.5 month, tenure-track
position at the preferred rank of ASSISTANT PROFESSOR starting August 1995.
Higher ranks will be considered for exceptional candidates with appropriate
credentials. We are seeking an outstanding molecular biologist who is
investigating fundamental problems in plant biology. The successful candidate
is expected to develop a nationally recognized, externally funded research
program, and to teach an introductory course in the biology program and
advanced courses in plant molecular biology. Applicants must have a Ph.D.
degree and postdoctoral experience is highly desirable. Applicants should
