Position Available - Assistant Professor - Plant Cell Biology
The Department of Botany at Oklahoma State University seeks candidates
for a tenure-track faculty position in PLANT CELL BIOLOGY. Individuals
investigating structural or developmental phenomena using emerging research
techniques in cell biology are particularly encouraged to apply. Candidates
should have experience in dealing with structural aspects of plant biology.

funding, training of graduate students, and collaboration with others are
Oklahoma State University has a strong interdisciplinary research group
in plant biology that involves faculty members in several departments
on campus. This position is located in the College of Arts and Sciences.
Campus-wide research facilities include an electron microscope center and
a core facility for recombinant DNA and protein technologies. OSU plant
biologists also interact extensively with the Plant Biology Division at
the Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
Candidates for this position should have a genuine commitment to excellence
in teaching. Responsibilities will include courses in plant anatomy, cell/
molecular biology, and introductory biology. The department is particularly
interested in increasing faculty representation of women and minorities. To
