Molecular Biology of Plant Development
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in plant
molecular biology. The post is to undertake work aimed at the analysis of the
regulation of genes that are induced during leaf senescence in /Brassica napus/.
The work will involve the isolation and characterisation of the promoters of
several senescence specific genes that have been identified in this laboratory.
This analysis should help to identify the regulatory elements that are involved
in this key step in plant development. The position is funded for three years
(on the Research assistant 1A scale: 12,129 to 19,328 pounds per annum
according to age and experience).
