NOTTINGHAM ARABIDOPSIS STOCK CENTRE
A research assistant is required to join a team working on the
characterization and cataloguing of novel genetic stocks of
Arabidopsis thaliana, a model species for current international
research into the molecular genetics of plant development. The
Nottingham Stock Centre provides Arabidopsis stocks to laboratories
around the world and is funded by grants from the AFRC and EC
Arabidopsis BRIDGE Programme.
Candidates should have experience in molecular biology or plant biology,
particularly in plant physiology and/or genetics. The post demands a
person with a meticulous approach to laboratory work. Candidates should
expect to be involved with some administrative aspects of the Stock
The post is available for up to 18 months with a starting salary of
up to 14962 pa (RA1A/B), depending on experience.
