Future Improvements

There can be no doubt that, over the last billions of years,
life is improving, i.e. the quality of organisms is getting better.
Over this span, life has gone from a few low quality microbes to
billions of high quality humans and computers.
One must then expect that, in the comming billions of years,
life forms will continue to evolve, improving and increasing in
  quality.
Self-improvement, or evolution, is obviously one of the aspects of
living organisms, and it will lead to a future that is much
  different than the past.
Indeed, without living organisms, the whole concept of quality,
self-improvement and evolution have no meaning.
