It is not me but the study author's that you should ask.
However, as I understand it, yes, by "model of aging" they mean
"5-month-old C57 mice ... injected daily with D-galactose".
While I don't think mice are a very good model for human-relevant
hormone investigations, they may be a reasonable model for glycation
investigations.
