I just thought I'd make a one-time, money-back offer that might thrill the
crap outa you. How's about you send me a cell sample, say, a few of your
hair follicles, a skin scraping, or perhaps a mouth scraping, and I'll
just scurry off to the lab and see if I can engineer - JUST FOR YOU - a
virus or sporulating bacterium (so it can lie in wait indefinitely) that
would ONLY attack you. Of course, I would also need samples from your
immediate family members, as well as first cousins and grand parents so
that I can make sure I only target cell surface proteins that are unique
to you and you alone (we don't want to nail your relatives do we?). I'll
even do everything possible to maintain high fidelity of replication so
that the chances of it mutating into a generally infectious form is
minimized. What do ya say? How can you refuse a deal like this...a "bug"
that would be personalized to only infect *you*. This is the kind of
opportunity that you don't come across every day, you know...and any silly
stressing over the fact that you will age and die just like everyone else
