Taking care of a child beyond the onset of physiologic changes leading to
sexual maturity is only part of the need for continued care and
guidance. The fact that mental and emotional development and maturity
still requires more time is a major reason. Couple this to the
burgeoning sexual development and they definitelyu require continued
parenting.
